Most holidays call for a big, fancy dinner, like your traditional Christmas feast or a night out on New Year’s Eve. But not Easter. This springtime celebration is best observed in the daylight, preferably with eggs Benedict, stacks of pancakes, and plenty of mimosas.

Chicago is brimming with brunch options year round, so we narrowed it down to a few of our favorite spots offering Easter brunch specials and buffets. Here’s where to eat brunch in Chicago on Easter Sunday:

Carnivale
Head to the colorful Carnivale for Easter Sunday with Latin flair. They’ll be serving their annual Easter brunch buffet with kid-friendly items as well as adult brunch favorites, like omelettes, empanadas, charcuterie, seafood, and more. Osteria Via Stato
Spend Easter at Osteria Via Stato and enjoy a full buffet of springtime brunch dishes. Sample a variety of Italian-inspired offerings like ciabatta French toast, house-made sausage strata, and made-to-order doughnuts. Plus, there’s an Easter candy table for the kids and bottomless bellinis for the adults. Artango Bar & Steakhouse
Celebrate Easter with a Latin-inspired brunch at Artango Bar & Steakhouse. This neighborhood Argentinean spot offers plenty of space for the whole family, plus a live guitarist to add to the lively atmosphere. On Easter Sunday, they’ll be offering a prix fixe brunch menu of Latin-infused favorites. Lincoln Square, $39 adults; $19 children

III Forks
The Easter celebration menu at III Forks features a selection of brunch items (like French toast, shrimp and grits, and filet mignon or lobster tail Benedict). Brunch cocktails, including bloody marys and mimosas, can be added for $8. Loop, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., $45 adults; $18 children

Odyssey Chicago River Easter Brunch Cruise
Enjoy Easter brunch with stunning views of the city aboard the Odyssey Chicago River. Enjoy a three-course meal, music from an onboard DJ, and expert narration about the surrounding architecture. Loop, boards at 12 p.m. from $89.90 per person

Ginkgo Restaurant at Morton Arboretum
Celebrate Easter with lovely views of Meadow Lake and early spring blooms inside Morton Arboretum. Gingko Restaurant will be serving chef-carved prime rib, made to order omelets and pastas, and much more. There will also be a premium cash bar and visits from the Easter Bunny, who will hop to each table with special treats. Enjoy extensive chefs stations like a leg of lamb carving station and a raw bar with nigiri, maki, snow crab claws, and oysters. Prime & Provisions
The luxe steakhouse will be offering an appropriately over-the-top Easter brunch buffet. Prime & Provisions guests can enjoy a grand display of brunch favorites, including a custom omelet station, a slow-roasted prime rib carving station, an extravagant raw bar, fresh fruits, pastries, assorted desserts and more. Spirit of Chicago Easter Brunch Cruise
This two-hour brunch cruise on Lake Michigan includes DJ music, onboard entertainment with interactive games and a face painter, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The buffet aboard Spirit of Chicago will be fully stocked with breakfast, lunch, and dessert favorites. Boards at 12 p.m. from Navy Pier, $64.90 adults; $49.90 children

Bistronomic
Indulge in a modern French brunch at Bistronomic made with seasonal produce from the nearby farmers market. Create your own three-course menu with options like a spring salad, artisanal smoked salmon, croque monsieur, brioche French toast, bread pudding, and more.
